Beach preparations should include the right equipment -sun oil, flip-flops, sunglasses and other important articles. Start the tour with Fort Aguada - this jet-set resort, notable for its 16th century fort and apparently endless expanse of white sand, has the best water sports, the best coastal views, Calangute - the old "Queen Beach" of Goa, where coconut palms once shaded a mile -wide stretch of tranquil orange sands. Also visit other important beaches - Baga, Anjuna, ??? closely located to one another in the northern territory of Goa. Afternoon you can spend time at Dona Paula -a sheltered palm - fronted cove, with an enchanting view of Marmagoa Harbor and Zuari river estuary, a breathtaking sunset spot. Visit Old Goa where you will begin to feel the presence of strong Latin influence. The priests of Rome were the real rulers here, not the Portuguese conquistadors, and the religious powers of the old conquerors is reflected in the grandiose complex churches, monasteries and convents, many rivaling in size and scale the great cathedrals of renaissance Europe. Visit Goa's most popular and famous church - Basilica of Bom Jesus, built between 1594 and 1604, the silver casket enshrining the unembalmed remains of St. Francis Xavier who lies fresh as ever - stunning fact to damn human reasoning. It was Goa's patron saint, who spent life-spreading Christianity among the Portuguese colonies. Across from Bom Jesus is the huge Cathedral, dedicated to St. Catherine of Alexandria, a papan girl who embraced Christianity. It is one of Asia's largest churches, having 15 altars. Evening you can spend time exploring the small town on your own. Meals and overnight at the Hotel.

Here there is hope, optimism, and great prosperity - for Bombay handles half the country's foreign trade, manufactures the same percentage of her textiles, and pays a third of her income tax.
