SOUTH AFRICAN TOUR


DAY 01, MUMBAI :

Assemble at the Sahar International Airport at 2300 hours and after completing the international travel formalities depart by South African Airways flight at 0200 hours for Cape Town.

DAY 02, CAPE TOWN :

Arrive Cape Town in the morning, pickup and transfer to the hotel. Cape Town is best discovered on foot! South Africa's "Mother City" was founded in 1652 as a ships' supply base by Jan van Riebeeck of the Dutch-East India Company. The city spreads out in front of Table Mountain, which rises more than 1,000m high, flanked by Devil's Peak in the east and Lion's Head and Signal Hill in the west. Afternoon city tour, visiting the Company Gardens, Houses of Parliament, the De Tuyn house, built in 1751 and now the residence of the State President, St. Georges Cathedral, Alfred Waterfront and Victoria. Meals- Breakfast and dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 03, CAPE OF GOOD HOPE :

Morning after breakfast take an excursion to the Cape Peninsula following South Africa's most famous coastal road - Chapman Peak Drive. Just beyond Kommetjie, in the southernmost area of the peninsula, you arrive at the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, home to zebra, baboon, ostrich and antelope species such as bontebok and eland. Also visit Jackass penguins, while returning back along the False Bay coast. Breakfast, dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 04, OSTRICH CAPITAL:

After breakfast leave by motor coach for Oudtshoorn, often called"Feather Capital" of the world. Enjoy a fantastic landscape, with splendid views of the impressive Quteniqua mountains, arrive Qudtshoorn in the afternoon. After lunch visit ostrich farm, finding out how its feathers were once worth more than their weight in gold. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 05, OUDTSHOORN:

Morning visit the fabulous Cango Caves, with their awe-inspiring stalactite and stalagmite formations. Later leave for George to connect the steam train, Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe, crossing the much-photographed railway bridge over the Kaaimans River just outside the pretty holiday resort Wilderness. Arrive Knysna, a vital port for the region until the coming of the railways and today remains an important centre for furniture manufacturing and check into the hotel. Meals and overnight at thehotel.

DAY 06, JOHANNESBURG :

After breakfast leave for Port Elizabeth airport, enjoy a journey along the famous Garden Route, an area of dense forests, unique flora, wide bays, rocky cliffs, numerous rivers, set against a dramatic mountain backdrop. Arrive Johannesburg in the afternoon, pickup and transfer to the hotel. Evening free, meals and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 07, JOHANNESBURG :

After breakfast leave for city tour, visiting Gold Reef City, a re-creation of a turn-of-the-century-mining town. Where you will be able to descend 220m undergrounds into the old Crown Mine and can watch molten gold being poured. Also visit Africa Museum and downtown historical buildings.

DAY 08, KRUGER NATIONAL PARK :

After breakfast leave for Kruger National Park, drive along beutiful land scape reach National park in the afternoon. Established in 1898 and open to the public since 1927, this is the country's largest National Park and contains the world's greatest variety of wildlife species. Evening free. Meals and overnight at the Lodge.

DAY 09, KRUGER NATIONAL PARK:

After breakfast enjoy early morning game drive. Spend the day explore national park for a chance to spot black-maned lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Cheetah along with varied species of hoofed animals. Meals and overnight at the national park.

DAY 10, SUN CITY - THE LOST CITY :

After breakfast leave for Sun city by motor coach. Arrive in the afternoon, a fantasy world where ancient civilizations once reigned.Here you find an indigenous rain forest, the Gary Player and a big casino and entertainment complex. The rooms look out over the sparking pool & gardens towards the majestic Pilanesberg mountains. Spend time at the huge casino or at Disco. Meals and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 11, SUN CITY - MUMBAI :

After breakfast transfer by motor coach to Johannesburg international airport to connect South African Airways flight for Mumbai at 1140hrs. Lunch and dinner on board.

DAY 12, MUMBAI :

Arrive Sahar International airport, Mumbai at 0005hrs and terminate our services.
